The City of Winter Haven, LEGOLAND® Florida, Main Street Winter Haven & Visit Central Florida present Food Truck Wars Saturday, September 14, 2013, from 2 to 8 p.m., Downtown Winter Haven. Mark your calendar and bring your appetite! This is a great family friendly event with food choices sure to please everyone from professional foodies to the pickiest eaters.
Food Truck Wars features 40 gourmet food trucks from all over the state competing for five prestigious awards presented by celebrity judges. Joining the Celebs in Winter Haven will be Cupcake Wars Champion and local resident, Jillian Hopke.
The competition includes five categories: the Spirit Award, Top Sales, Delectable Desserts, Causal Cuisine and the coveted People’s Choice Award. The food trucks are all in it to win it and your vote counts so swing by the Voting Station and vote for your favorite!
Don’t miss a visit to the LEGOLAND Kids Zone to benefit Merlin’s Magic Wand, LEGOLAND Florida’s charitable organization, and catch the Swamp Brothers exhibit along with some super LEGOLAND activities.
If you like to eat and try new foods in a fun and friendly environment, you’ll love Food Truck Wars. There are lots of food choices from Thai and Mexican dishes to lobster and everything in between. Make sure you leave room for dessert. Food costs run on average between $6 and $8.
