Florida Foodies; Food Truck Wars returns to Tampa with a vengeance
October 19th, 2012 4pm to 10pm
Same location; 1105 E Twiggs St, Tampa - 50 Gourmet Food Trucks
FOOD TRUCK WARS will be held October 19th, 2013 in the Grand Central area of Tampa, Florida. Same location: 1105 E Twiggs St, Tampa, FL 33602. 50 Gourmet Food Trucks from all over the State will be on site to compete once again in 5 categories. There will be some new trucks debuting and some from previous rounds seeking revenge. Foodies will have a chance to vote on cuisines from Latin, British, American BBQ, Gourmet Cupcakes and everything in between. The competition has been extended this round to include the prestigious Peoples Choice Award as well as Top Sales, Delectable Dessert, the Spirit Award, and Casual Cuisine.
The Sunset Optimist Club and Wesley Chapel Optimist Club will be at the event working along with the shows promoters to raise money in support of its’ local charities.
The phenomenon of Gourmet Food Truck rivalry (all in the name of good fun, of course) has been a Huge Hit. Cities throughout Florida have experienced the phenom with record breaking crowds in attendance.
In addition to bringing communities together through this amazing battle of food trucks, food truck owners and foodies have donated over $26,000 to various communities, which have hosted the events.
